提摩太前書第四章（一）：邪靈和鬼魔的道理

「聖靈明說，在後來的時候，必有人離棄真道，聽從那引誘人的邪靈和鬼魔的道理。」（v1）

有人離開神，離開真理，是必然發生，不可以避免，因為聖靈曾明明白白的說。

「這是因為說謊之人的假冒；這等人的良心如同被熱鐵烙慣了一般。」（v2）
Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.--NIV
These teachers are hypocrites and liars. They pretend to be religious, but their consciences are dead.--NLT

在未世有人離開真道，跟隨一些說謊和假冒的老師。這些老師在宗教上像是很有追求，但他們的良心也是死的。

「他們禁止嫁娶，又禁戒食物（或作：又叫人戒葷），就是神所造、叫那信而明白真道的人感謝著領受的。」（v3）

他們教的假教訓（異端）是：禁止嫁娶，禁戒食物。真的道理是：食慾和性慾都是出於神的創造，只要我們在正當的情況下滿足人身體的慾望，便不是犯罪。

「你若將這些事提醒弟兄們，便是基督耶穌的好執事，在真道的話語和你向來所服從的善道上得了教育。」（v6）
By pointing out such things to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, having nourished yourself on the words of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed.--Net Bible
If you point these things out to the brothers, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, brought up(養育;提起...,談到) in the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed.--NIV

Net Bible: By pointing out…you have followed. This verse gives a theme statement for what follows in the chapter about Timothy’s ministry. The situation in Ephesus requires him to be a good servant of Christ, and he will do that by sound teaching and by living an exemplary life himself.

當我們指出甚麼是假教訓，甚麼是邪靈和鬼魔的道理，我們就是基督耶穌的好執事。基督耶穌的好執事是要活出「真實的信心」和「生命的榜樣」。
